Conv. Bid
Linda is having trouble finding a co-chair. Bob Cornish may volunteer to co-chair. Linda needs help from people who have NSS convention experience to help with bid in VT. Blake may be interested, but needs to be contacted since he no longer attends grotto meetings. Dianna Northup has offered support. Penny Boston cannot do too much. She is busy. Need to run proposal by SWR in april, then more complete proposal to NSS this summer. Plan rooms. Campsites. Outline logistics for SWR this April.
Archives
Robert has agreed to work with Joe to inventory library or archives. However, they cannot store the material. We need a location. We could consider using a shared closet with other UNM clubs.
Girl Scouts
April trip has been canceled. May try again in fall.
New Bus

They are willing to host a vert training. Keiffer contacted them. Member rate for vert training. Student grotto members can get yearly membership for $109/semester, instead of about $450/year.
NFS Closure
Since nobody is running permits, all NF caves are closed.
- 50th aniv glasses available for sale. $6 ea. $5 ea for grotto members, agreed to by 3 officers.
- Ft. Stanton shaft upgrade going on. April 16-17 next work trip to install pannels and SS supports.
- Talk of turning the Ft. Stanton project into a 503c. Move to nurses quarters is delayed. Bldg needs work, according to Govt.
- There is a small-business set-aside to build some bat friendly gates on mines and caves in Southern AZ. Contact aaron for details if you know anybody qualified to bid.
caving accidents out
People with rope, one ascender, no pad got stuck in brewer's luckily. The rope surely would have broke if they had tried to ascend. They called for help. There was cell phone coverage.
They also wrote on the Ft. Stanton heart-attack incident that many region members were involved both on the trip and the recovery. It was a Ft. Stanton weekend, so there were 45 cavers available to help. S&R Team wanted to go in without helmets, lights. Cavers kept S&R on the trail.
