NSS has new brochure. They are thinking that bats may be vector... perhaps more so than cavers. It is now in NE corner of Tennessee. Up by WV border.
Press release, asking Govt. for $5-6M to investigate WNS.

2013 convention bid
Keiffer Linda, Bob, and Grubbs met. Have info from NMTech. Penny Boston can't be directly involved, but offered to help a bit with some science. Planning another meeting after grotto mtg.
2010 will be in Burlington, VT. 2011 will be in Glenwood Springs, CO 2012 will be in WV

Keiffer got notice from MAry Dewey about access to law school. Entry will be by keypad after hours. The library may close at 6:PM. Room access may end, may, june, july.
Ft Stanton will be hauling more concrete to Don Sawyer hall. regional. some sleeping space in field house. snowy river may be flowing, which should be neat. it tents to flow green from the calcite.
End of April/Early may will be first of three Ft. Stanton cave study project trips. These are usually week long events. Ft. Stanton up to nearly 15 miles now. They have 347 stations south of Priority 7 now.
Grubbs has SW cavers dating back to mid 1970's. All cavers will get in one box.
Linda announces that NSS is now $40/year. There may be a student rate. All grotto officers must be NSS members. 2010 BOG election ballot is in mail. Linda makes recommendations. Jay Clarke form Alabama has been on board before. Supported 2011 NM bid. John Cole from KY is also running. Deborah Young from FL is on board now, running for re-election. William Gary Bush out of OH. Doesn't know last two well. You get 4 votes. Can cast multiple votes for same person. Only westerner running is Herman Miller from TX. Newish NSS member, can't endorse. Jennifer Foote is not running.
